Description: Ultrafine aluminum hydrosilicate with low crystallization grade, coated with a low molar mass hydrophobic polymer, reason for which it is not hygroscopic.
Properties:dry whiteness: 85%; Mohs hardness: • 2; Hegman fineness: • 5; pH: 5-8, and specific weight: 2.58 g/cm3. Humidity presence in particulates commonly used in printing paints increases the dispersion time, which is limited by the excessive increase of the temperature induced by the high shearing rate. This forces the paint to be unloaded from the disperser, before reaching the desirable Hegman fineness, demanding additional process operations such as filtering and / or milling. The coated particulates have high fluidity in the solid state, making it easier the mechanized dosage and dispersion
Function: extending, non-hygroscopic pigment with good coating power, anti-sedimentation and with easy fluidity.
Application: printing paints (flexography and rotogravure), water-soluble alkyd paints, industrial enamel.
